Google Trends, A Public web facility powered by Google Search shows how often a particular search term is entered to the total search-volume across the world. Google trends also provides color coded searching and comparing techniques to check the popularity of a search term. The search term could be anything. You can compare multiple search terms to compare the popularity of a firm, people, product, service etc. and if you want to buy anything you can search Google trends to measure the popularity in your region or outside your region.
How to use Google Trends to Compare the Web
Open Google Trends
Type the two or more search terms to compare between them. Suppose you want to compare between android and blackberry or Windows and Linux or may be between Nokia Lumia and iPhone, type the search term in the search bar separated by commas.
As shown in above image, I’ve compared the search volume popularity of Nokia, Android, Blackberry and Apple iPhone. The graphical representation gives proper idea and we can get to know who is leading in terms of popularity and if anything is popular then more people are using it.
By using this simple technique you can compare anything, even you can compare your name with your Girlfriend’s name.

By using Google Trends for websites, your can compare multiple websites to check the popularity. To compare between websites, click on ‘Websites’ link and type the website URLs in the search bar.
furthermore, you can filter your search with various regions and year. I must say, Google Trends will help you to choose between two good products and also you can judge, depending on your choice of the region.
