Blogger also known as Blogspot, A blog publishing tool owned by Google has not been able to show its presence around us as well as in search engines. If you think that search engines have started ignoring Blogspot then my answer would be No! It’s not true. In fact, If you see the data you’ll find that Blogger.com is losing its popularity.
As per my experience, I’ve seen the people who have already moved from Blogger.com to WordPress and other blog owners having their blog on Blogger.com is not updating their blog and have left it unattended. Blogger.com was a popular destination for niche bloggers and now If you compare Blogger.com with WordPress, It is not a competitor anymore.

What Bloggers Actually Look for while choosing the blogging Platform
Customization: A blogger like me would always want highly customizable platform that provides quality plugins, Attractive themes and lots of discussion around the web on that platform. If I put blogger.com in this place then easily I could say that it is not highly customizable.
Open Source: Blogger.com is not an Open source platform hence, It is not that much useful for designers, web developers and blogs related to design, Coding, modifications & Inspiration.
Professionalism: People who are writing want to give a professional touch to their write ups and personally I believe Blogger.com is not that much professional. It is always interesting that how blogging platforms deliver an author’s personality and you can judge by yourself how blogger.com delivers your author image on the web.
Indeed people have used Blogger.com and never faced any problem with it and I’m one of them, but on the other hand there are other options available which are better than Blogger.com. Also, it will be interesting to see that how Blogger.com tries to gather its users and what does it offer to do the same.
